Aquatic Therapy with Treyton Oak
One of the many resources available to Treyton Oak Towers residents is Aquatic Therapy. Once a week, our bus makes the short drive to the Kay & Jim Morrissey Advanced Therapy Center, where our residents enjoy the Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program.
This 45-minute recreational, water-based exercise program is designed specifically for people with arthritis and related diseases, although anyone may participate and benefit. Exercises focus on building endurance, strengthening muscles, and improving range of motion.
The pool is a salt water pool with UV filter and heated to 92 degrees for therapeutic benefit. It’s fully accessible for special needs individuals, with a chair and stretcher lift, ramp and exercise benches. The feedback from our residents about this wonderful, fun fitness experience is very enthusiastic.
